Bulbs by Base:
Screw Based bulbs
Light bulbs specify Screw Bases by size. Listed here are "E17" Based bulbs. Size always refers to the diameter of the base in Millimeters. A E17 Base is 17mm in diameter.
Remember: Volts X Amps = Watts.
1) Identify your base
2) locate the proper voltage. Voltage does not need to be exact. Many Automotive bulbs are 12.8 even though a car battery is only 12 Volts. Virtually all household bulbs using Wall jacks (110 Volts) are rated at 120 Volts or 130 Volts. A bulb rated slightly higher than the power source will last longer.
3) Locate the correct Amperage. If you cannot locate the exact amperage marked on your bulb find the next closet value. Selecting a slightly lower amperage will result in a slightly dimmer bulb while a higher amperage will result in a brighter bulb.
4) Select the correct shape and size glass. Unless apperance is important the only requirement for glass shape and size is that it fits (excluding floods, spots or focused beam lights).
